Art Festivals and Special Events in and around Todos Santos

During the main season (November to April), there are many art festivals and special arts-related events that are held in Todos Santos and other locations in Baja California Sur.  Some are focused on Visual Arts; others on the Performing Arts, Cinema and Architecture.  We've shown a sampling of these events with their expected dates (check back closer to the event for confirmation as planned dates in Baja tend to be flexible), with links to their specific website if known.

Todos Santos Arts Festival

Now in its 13th year, the Todos Santos Arts Festival was originally a celebration of the Visual Arts.  With a change in leadership, the focus has currently shifted to the Performing Arts and a distinctly Mexican flavor.  There are classical and modern music performances, and both traditional and contemporary dance troupes, along with readings, plays and selected films.  There is also a crafts and food fair, along with a small selection of art work for sale in temporary booths.

The 2011 festival is expected to run from February 12th to the 19th.  For more information, see www.todossantoscultura.com.
