Visions, A Community Gallery at Cafelix Coffee & Kitchen, in Todos Santos, has announced their first three exhibitions for the coming season. “The gallery will be featuring several ‘Showcase Exhibitions’ this season allowing residents and visitors to experience the wide diversity of art available from our local and regional artists,” according to gallery co-directors Mike McAllister and Tori Sepulveda.
The gallery will present its First Annual Small Works Show starting November 19, 2009. This show, featuring original works of art no larger than one foot square and prices no greater than $150, is the perfect opportunity to purchase those “very special” holiday gifts for family and friends. On December 3, 2009 the gallery will host a “Meet the Artists” holiday party from 5:30 to 7:30 to which the public is cordially invited. Small Works closes on January 3, 2010.
In January the gallery will celebrate the addition of four new artists with an opening party on January 7, 2010 from 5:30 to 7:30. Each artist, chosen for their diversity of style and professional quality will be featured in the main gallery and will be present at the opening party. The New Artists show will close February 1, 2010.
On February 4, 2010, the gallery will present the First Annual Todos Santos Juried Photography Show. This prestigious show will be selected by a panel of internationally known photographers from both the East Coast and West Coast of the United States. Photographers and the judges will be present at the opening reception on the 4th. Entry to the show will be open to all photographers who can legally sell their work in Mexico. This is an exciting opportunity for photographers to have their work acknowledged and displayed in a popular public venue. Entry forms can be downloaded here. The First Annual Todos Santos Juried Photography Show will close on February 28th.
Visions Gallery is organized by the Artists of Todos Santos (A.R.T.S.) which is an informal group whose objective is to develop and support a visual arts community and inspire and grow visual arts talent in the Todos Santos community.
