"Cafe des Artistas"

New this season will be a monthly opportunity for area artists, as well as, visiting artists to gather informally at Café Todos Santos on the 4th Thursday of each month from 3PM to 5PM to discuss and share their experiences making and marketing their art. Each month the “Café Des Artists” will present a topic to start the discussion. The first “Café” meeting is scheduled for January 26th and will feature the topic “Inspirations and Work Habits.” A special designated area of the café will be available for these sessions. The cost of food and beverages is the responsibility of each participant.

2011 / 2012 season of "Meet the Artist" talks

Back by popular demand is season four of the “Meet the Artist Series” with outstanding professionals presenting at Cafelix Coffee & Kitchen, sponsor of the series.

On December 8, 2011, Jennifer Power, painter and collage artist, will talk about her work in mixed media and her creation of many iconic images of the Guadaloupe.

On January 12, 2012, Diane Knight, a well-known Mexican/Canadian painter working in acrylics, will talk about her journey as an artist, overcoming fears and when you should just paint upside down.

On February 9, 2012, Erick Ochoa, one of Todos Santos’ leading oil painters, will discuss his development as a painter and show some of his latest work.

Finally, on March 8, 2012, Frank Pedley, an internationally known muralist will discuss the techniques of mural painting and the mural’s place in art and history.

All programs start promptly at 5:00PM and usually last about one hour. There is no charge. As always, the public is invited to purchase food and drink from Cafelix and enjoy an evening of art.
